Welcome to Jackson Rotary Online
Jackson Rotary President - John Sullivan
Welcome to the Rotary Club of Jackson Website.

The Rotary Club of Jackson is part of Rotary International which is the world's oldest and most important service organization with over 1,200,000 members in more than 33,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographic areas.

Rotary provides clean water to those without it, feeds the hungry, battles crippling, debilitating and disfiguring diseases and helps people learn to read and write so they can compete in the modern workplace. Rotarians are business and professional leaders who aspire to the highest ethical standards in their vocations and who not only help those in need in their own communities but who also seek to advance the cause of peace, understanding and goodwill worldwide through scholarships, youth and adult exchanges and humanitarian projects.

In addition to participating in Rotary International’s efforts, the Rotary Club of Jackson:

Supports local community organizations including Amador Lifeline, Interfaith Food Bank, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Little League, Friends of the Amador Library, High School Drama and Music Groups, participates in the Back-to-School Backpack program and awards academic, golf and other scholarships.

Works directly in the community including maintaining Vista Point, Highway 49 Clean-up and runs the Destruction Derby at the Amador County Fair.

Provides networking and fellowship opportunities amongst its members.

The Jackson Rotary Club was chartered on April 14, 1952 and will celebrate its 60th year in 2012. Since 1952 Jackson Rotary has sponsored 3 other clubs, Amador Upcountry (1983), Ione (1988), and Plymouth Foothill (2007). To learn more about our club click on the various tabs in this Website.
